iOS 10 has been out there for a while and it has changed a lot of things we have grown accustomed to over a decade. Basically, iOS 10 brings tons of changes to existing apps, while introducing new features. In iOS 10, the Music app has received a brand new look. In reality, the Music app in iOS 10 is more visually appealing compared to how it looked in iOS 9, but the app is making it much harder to sort songs and albums.
With that in mind, we believe that we can help you out. In this step-by-step guide, we will run you through the steps to sort songs and albums in the Music app in iOS 10. Before we get started, be sure that you are now running iOS 10 or later.
Steps to sort songs and albums in the Music app in iOS 10
Step one: First and foremost, you need to launch the Settings app from your home screen. Once you are in, you need to scroll down a little bit and tap on Music to open it to proceed
Step two: Once you are done, navigate to the Library section and tap on the Sort Song & Album to access the Sort Songs & Albums page
Step three: From here, you will be presented with how you want to sort the songs and albums in the Music app on your iPhone. There are two options to pick from including By Artist and By Title
Step four: Once you are done, all you need to do is to go back to the Music app, and all the songs and albums will be sorted based on your option you chose earlier.
That’s it! In reality, Apple doesn’t allow users to sort songs and albums right within the app. So you need to go to the Settings app to make that happen, which is a little bit annoying. However, it should be the best option for now.
