A group of American students create an orchestra in which musical instruments are the only mobile phones branded iPhone, announced BBC.
Students from the University of Michigan alone written software programs that synthesize various tones. Some of the sounds that issue phones to remind traditional musical instruments, but others are completely unique. Music that the orchestra will perform is also composed by the students themselves.
Phones are connected to speakers, musicians who have hung around their waists. The first concert of the orchestra is scheduled for the ninth of December. It will commemorate the completion of quarterly lessons that had students in Georg Essl – computer scientist and musician.
“Mobile phones are a very good platform for studying new forms of musical performances” says Essl.
