It is now almost certain that the next iPhone will have a different design and a screen with a diagonal probably 4 inches but opinions about the resolution is still controversial. According to the site 9to5 Mac U.S. company has already tested the new model and it is a stage pre EVT (Engineering Verification Test). There are two versions named iPhone 5,1 and iPhone 5,2, and both have screens with a diagonal of 3.95″ and a resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels (almost 16:9). Resolution is a different aspect ratio than previously used by Apple (3:2), but according to information the new version of iOS will add an extra row of icons on the main screen and will expand the applications interface to display more content. The other information is connected with the connector of the smartphone. Its dimensions will be reduced to those falling between the size of microUSB and miniUSB connector. The change may be significant because the market there are hundreds of devices supporting current connector, and most likely for compatibility with the new device will have use of an adapter.
