Taiwan developer of x86-compatible microprocessors VIA Technologies filed a lawsuit against Group Apple, which claims that the U.S. company violates patents of VIA. Representatives of Taiwanese manufacturers claim that Apple uses controversial developments in the Apple TV, iPad, iPod and iPhone, as well as software that the products work with.

Reported that the patents describe methods of transmission, processing and data management products in the chip. Action on behalf of VIA was made simultaneously in International Trade Commission and the U.S. in American courts.

CEO of VIA Wen Chi Chen said on this occasion that his company intends to defend its interests before all responsible bodies and with all possible legal means.

You’ll recall that earlier claim Apple itself in court against another Taiwanese company – HTC, accusing the latter of infringing two patents belonging to “apples”.

From the moment Apple declined to comment on a claim brought by VIA.

Taiwanese company Foxconn, a major manufacturer of the products of Apple (including smartphone iPhone and tablet iPad), plans to invest up to $12 billion in factories in Brazil, reported BBC News.

Currently all the company’s factories are located in China. The decision to expand production in Brazil is linked to the fact that the labor costs of Chinese workers is constantly growing. If the deal is implemented, iPad production in Brazilian factories will begin this year.

Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff said the government is now discussing with the company details of the transaction. The amount of investment that Foxconn plans to invest in Brazilian plants ranged from 300 million to $12,000,000,000.

Foxconn is the largest electronics manufacturer in the world. In plants of the company are produces equipment from brands like Apple, Hewlett Packard and Dell. Total in factories in China, the company currently employs more than 800 thousand. Difficult working conditions in the company has repeatedly been discussed – for example, in August 2010 the company was forced to raise wages for workers in 10 suicides in the factory in Shenchzhen, China.

Officially waiting for white iPhone 4 is coming to an end. The head of marketing department of Apple Philip Schiller confirmed that the white version of the smartphone will be released commercially in the spring of this year.

White iPhone 4 appears only now, since the start of deliveries into the distribution network was postponed last year due to production problems. Since Apple has now come out with the iPad the big question is – will the Apple iPad have the success that the Apple iPhone has? First let’s compare the two products – both the iPhone and the iPad pretty much have the same applications available such as the internet, email, photos, maps and watching videos. The iPad is much larger than the Apple iPhone and one of the greatest advantages with the iPad is that you can see the websites as a whole page and view pictues in a larger scale as well as looking at google maps in a more broader view.

With the iPad you will not have to do a lot of scrolling unlike using the Apple iPhone. The iPhone has great capabilities but it is a lot smaller than the iPad and that is what makes the iPad more desirable to use because of the larger view you can get from it. The Apple iPhone even though it is smaller and more compact it is easier to carry around with you but that still doesn’t compare to the iPad as far as usability – being able to view content in a larger view.

Even though most people are out for what is convenient for them such as being able to carry around the iPhone in their pocket or in a small carrying case it still doesn’t compare to the larger iPad as far as being able to view web pages and other applications in a more broader area. That being said the usability of the iPad very much outweighs the convenience of the Apple iPhone. Most people are used to using their home computers and will appreciate the iPad in a sense that the iPad is like carrying around a portable computer with all of the up to date applications.

The Apple iPad is going to be a great success and is the next best thing to a personal computer compared to the iPhone. Who knows, the Apple iPad may even in the future replace the use of the notebook computer as far as using it for business purposes and more.
