The G1 from T-Mobile has finally arrived and iPhone is eventually getting the serious competition that other iPhone rivals hope for.
The iPhone is lighter compared to the G1. It only weighs as much as 133g while the rival is 158g. And although many iPhone owners used to rant about the battery life of the device, they should be thankful that their iPhone can last up to 300 hours (standby) whereas the G1 only lasts for 130 hours. Again, one point goes to the iPhone.
If you get the urge (or need) to translate while out and about, Google has just put the finishing touches on their Google Translate site, specifically targeted to iPhone and iPod touch users. All you have to do is visit translate.google.com on your mobile Safari browser and let the translating commence.
Google Translate has been optimized for speed and will automatically update language support as the regular version of the app is updated. If you are looking for something free and easy to use for simple translations, this is probably the way to go.
Google released an updated interface of its services for iPhone and iPod Touch. Now everything is accessible in an integrated environment: Google Calendar, Google Docs, Reader, Google Notebook, Google News and Blogger.
They also implemented search query suggestions, and email auto complete. In addition you can access Google mobile in several languages now.
