Newest iPhone rumours tell us that the new version of the device will have a Broadcom chipset. Rumours are based on analysis of the newest software for the current version of iPhone. The chipset which iPhone 3.1 may use will be BCM4329 with IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n support, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, FM receiver and transmitter. There is the possibility Apple not to use all features and to deactivate some of them like in the Broadcom BCM4325 chipset of iPhone 3G and its FM receiver.
