In their typical fashion yesterday, Apple hosted an event which presented the successive developments in its extensive product line – including things about the iPhone. Although most of the show was dedicated to the discovery of new and revised iPod branded products, there were several things that delighted fans of mobile phones. Since Apple has now come out with the iPad the big question is – will the Apple iPad have the success that the Apple iPhone has? First let’s compare the two products – both the iPhone and the iPad pretty much have the same applications available such as the internet, email, photos, maps and watching videos. The iPad is much larger than the Apple iPhone and one of the greatest advantages with the iPad is that you can see the websites as a whole page and view pictues in a larger scale as well as looking at google maps in a more broader view.

With the iPad you will not have to do a lot of scrolling unlike using the Apple iPhone. The iPhone has great capabilities but it is a lot smaller than the iPad and that is what makes the iPad more desirable to use because of the larger view you can get from it. The Apple iPhone even though it is smaller and more compact it is easier to carry around with you but that still doesn’t compare to the iPad as far as usability – being able to view content in a larger view.

Even though most people are out for what is convenient for them such as being able to carry around the iPhone in their pocket or in a small carrying case it still doesn’t compare to the larger iPad as far as being able to view web pages and other applications in a more broader area. That being said the usability of the iPad very much outweighs the convenience of the Apple iPhone. Most people are used to using their home computers and will appreciate the iPad in a sense that the iPad is like carrying around a portable computer with all of the up to date applications.

The Apple iPad is going to be a great success and is the next best thing to a personal computer compared to the iPhone. Who knows, the Apple iPad may even in the future replace the use of the notebook computer as far as using it for business purposes and more.

Apple had no rights over the brand iPad

Currently the categories are 12 and they are anywhere between 8 and 24 programs for each with a brief description. Some divisions are standard – such as games and music applications, but there are interesting collections of programs, such as those designed for students or moms and dads.

Apple are preparing a cheaper iPhone 3GS

Apple plans to launch a cheaper model of its smartphone iPhone 3GS. The low price will be at the expense of memory size reductions to only 8GB, reported The Boy Genius Report.

It is expected that the new model will replace the 8gb iPhone 3G. The estimated price of the smartphone is 99 dollars as its predecessor cost.

Information to prepare a model has expired from internal records of the operator Rogers.

One of the recent rumors on the Internet is that iPhone 2009 will use OLED displays to replace the current. So far we have not seen AMOLED display quality such as the iPhone, but who knows maybe we will be surprised. Skype App is Now Available in the App Store

Skype, Inc. has just released their official Skype application for the iPhone and iPod touch.

Skype is a very popular voice-over-IP (VOIP) and instant messaging application that allows you to make phone calls over the internet. Calls can be made to other Skype users or to those with regular landline phones.

As restricted by Apple, the voice-over-IP phone calls will only work over Wi-Fi and not over the cellular connection. iPod Touch owners with a microphone can also take advantage of the VOIP calling.

Frustratingly enough, Skype app is crash-prone, it crashes way too much at this stage. We have nothing to complain since it is FREE but it can be a pain to use it as a desktop-skype replacement. You can now call those 1800 numbers for free from Skype.

The app itself resembles closely to the desktop variant including login sounds, look and feel and ringers. Take a quick peek at the screenshots and download it from iTunes AppStore.
