]]> iPhone is already being sold in Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. According to CNET data in the first hours of the release of iPhone 3G there were 25000 devices sold. The third mobile operator in Japan, Softbank, now has the rights to sell Aplle’s iPhone in Japan.
Softbank is not GSM/EDGE carrier, but is a W-CDMA (UMTS 3G). The time they will start selling iPhone is unknown (“later this year”).
