Apple developed the upcoming 3G iPhone in 3 different colors. You can see them on the picture.
On the picture we can see iPhone in silver, black and dark red. There are rumours in internet that they will differ in design and maybe there will be even a slider version. This information is not confirmed by Google so far.
The new 3G iPhone is expected to be released officialy on June 9th.
The 3G iPhone’s firmware has been released for carrier partners.

The third mobile operator in Japan, Softbank, now has the rights to sell Aplle’s iPhone in Japan.
Softbank is not GSM/EDGE carrier, but is a W-CDMA (UMTS 3G). The time they will start selling iPhone is unknown (”later this year”).
